FRIT PAINTING - 

Create a frit painted art glass project. Detailed advanced class in the techniques of painting on glass with frit. Learn techniques painting with fine, medium and coarse frit to achieve the dimension, texture and look of a glass painting. Learn  how to prepare a glass canvas, how to prepare and apply the frit, how to fuse and layer the glass. Glass and multiple firings included.  2-4 day class depending on project.

FRIT WAFERS - STENCILING -

Create a frit stencil art glass project by creating 'frit wafers'. Detailed advanced class in the techniques of creating a frit painting with frit wafers. Learn how to prepare your glass, create stencils appropriate for designing and applying the frit. Technique applicable for tile work and art 'paintings'. Glass and multiple firings included.  2-4 day class depending on project.

* Although this class is an acvanced fusing class, no prior experience with fusing is necessary. Working with frit is a totally different technique from fusing and slumping. 

This class is taught by Sue Kutno. Sue has been working with frit most of her glass career, about 30 years, and has won the prestigous "New Glass Review" award from Corning Museum of Glass for her techniques in working with frit.
