Lisa just took her first glass fusing class from SSG. From the Fused Glass Mosaic Mirror she made above, you can see how talented she is in her new medium. She said “I had a wonderful experience, and now wish to take additional classes. I strongly recommend your classes to students of all ages”.
Lisa was raised in Pennsylvania and owned Leda Lee's Studio of Dance. She also taught creative movement at Holy Trinity Catholic School and modern dance at Sally Crino Dance School in Dunkirk, New York.
Lisa has lived in Sarasota since August 1980 moving here from Dunkirk with her husband Tony and daughters Charise and Celine. Tony and Lisa are both retired now. He taught a total of 45 years ending his career as an IB English teacher at Riverview High School and was also the head of the Theater Arts Department in the early years. They both worked together to put on High School musicals, Lisa being the choreographer for the shows.
In Sarasota she became a licensed community manager and real estate sales person managing high rise condominiums. That position gave her the chance to work for many wonderful people from all over the world.
Being retired affords her the opportunity to do the things she loves. She has enjoyed ballroom dance competition, playing the piano, painting, and has worked several years on her first novel of international intrigue.
Lisa recently held her first Art Show at Venice Theater. One of her favorite Watercolors, "Toe Shoes on Tapestry", was a winning piece at the Colleen Cassidy School of Art. But most importantly, she and Tony spend time having fun and helping their four grandchildren with their studies.
