In this 3 hour class learn the nature of dichroic glass: What it is, How it fires, Layering, Temperatures, Interaction of color and light through glass, Finishing and terminology of glass.
All materials included. Pendants are fired to a full fuse. Bails are glued. Earrings will have bails + wires or posts
INTRODUCTION TO ENAMELING
Enameling is the art of fusing powdered glass to metal, using the kiln at high temperatures. In this 3 hour class yu will learn to prepare copper, make 3 pendants and/or 3 sets of earrings. Explore the use of opaque and transparent enamels and decorative inclusions.

Our jewelry classes are offered to beginner students or students with some glass background. The student can choose from basic fused glass dichroic jewelry or enameling. Also offered is Bead Making on the torch (Lampwork or Flamework).

BEAD MAKING (LAMPWORK)
Making glass beads gives the student an opportunity to create with fire in a controlled and sportive environment. In this beginners 3 hour class you will be introduced to lamp-work by manipulating glass in a flame, forming, pulling, twisting and shaping glass into stringers and 'twisties'.
Mapp Gas not included - bring the yellow cylinder of Map-Pro gas which can be purchased at Home Depot or Lowes.

COPPER BRACELET
In this 3 hour class get to know the basics of wire jewelry techniques while creating a one-of-a-kind copper bracelet. Learn how to use the basic jewelry tools and how to make coils and clasps. Copper, colored wire, silver beads and focal beads will be supplied. Instructor will supply use of tools, but if you have your own tools and would like to use them, bring them to class.
