HOW TO MAKE DEPOSITS
Deposits can be paid with cash, check, zelle, venmo, or PayPal; and online with a credit card. The phone number associated with these accounts is (904) 704-5584. I am working on getting a credit card system and point of sale software.
CANCELLATION
When you book your class and make a deposit, you are holding a space on our calendar that is no longer available to our other students. In order to be respectful of your fellow students, please call us as soon as you know you will not be able to make your class.
If cancellation is necessary, we require that you call at least 24 hours in advance. Classes are in high demand, and your advanced notice will allow another student access to that class time.
If you cancel within 24 hours, you can request a deposit refund; or reschedule your class at a later date. If you don’t have an exact date to re-schedule when you call (let’s say, there’s an emergency) we will still hold your deposit.
If you have paid in full for a class, we will refund the amount or apply the balance to the next class you attend.
In the case of a no call, no show; we will keep the deposit amount ($30). If you paid in full, you may request a refund minus the deposit amount per student ($30).
We’re a family business and will always work with you the best we can.
RE-SCHEDULES
Students often schedule classes in advance. We may not be able to give you the exact date when you’re rescheduling. Availability is based on the spaces available in the class. We currently have a maximum of 10 students per class.

BROKEN PIECES
Sarasota School Of Glass is not responsible for damage to any pieces after they leave the studio.
In the case that a piece is damaged in the studio, by staff or other students; we will offer to re-make the piece ourselves or you can re-make the piece in a class at no additional cost.
If you break a piece and it’s repairable, we may be able to fix it at the cost of a firing in the kiln ($0.13/square inch). If you break the piece and we are not able to repair it, the student will be responsible for the cost of a new project.

Students interested in open studio must first take a tools class. They need to know how to work independently. They can sign up for hourly ($10 per hour), monthly ($60 per month), or yearly ($500 per year). This cost does not include glass or kiln time.
If open studio students do not bring their own glass, they will need to purchase the glass pieces before they begin working. Open studio students can only use the glass from the cutting room, they cannot use the glass from the classroom. There is an exception for stringers, noodles and squiggles. These are free to the project students, but need to be purchased by studio students. Dots and squiggles will need to be made for the projects from purchased glass.
